A powerful new Personal View published in The Lancet HIV features Advocacy for the Prevention of HIV and AIDS (APHA) Executive Director Yvette Raphael as a co-author. The article highlights the potential of long-acting lenacapavir to revolutionise HIV prevention - if global policy, funding, and delivery mechanisms rise to the challenge.


Drawing on lessons from the ART rollout and existing PrEP barriers, the authors propose a ten-point strategic framework to ensure equitable access to lenacapavir and other innovative tools in low- and middle-income countries. With global HIV gains under threat, the time for decisive action is now.
