Advocates for the Prevention of HIV in Africa

About Us Banner Image.jpg

Supporting civil society, communities, and health care workers in their fight to prevent the spread of HIV

We do this by mobilizing communities and contributing to capacity development through collaborations with advocacy groups and key stakeholders.

Our Supporters

As part of our engagement and advocacy work, we gather and document best practices to advance and inform sustainable approaches, as well as help researchers, funders, implementers, government entities, and product developers to ensure that products and policies take into account the lived reality of the end-users.

APHA also strives to facilitate opportunities and spaces for young people, marginalized groups and communities to recognize, develop, and use their assets to be able to actively engage around processes, policies, and decisions that affect them directly.

We aim to ensure that communities engage from a position of strength and that all interventions put the needs and rights of affected communities first.
