Towards a world free of HIV

Welcome to APHA – the Advocacy for Prevention of HIV and AIDS. Founded in December 2015 by human rights, health and HIV activists, Yvette Raphael, Brian Kanyemba and Ntando Yola, we are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to ending the HIV global epidemic.

Our particular focus is on key and vulnerable communities in South Africa and we work in partnership with communities, NGOs and the medical profession to find and promote rights-based solutions to preventing new infections.

We advocate for investment in multiple interventions and support a research-driven approach to ensure community-friendly products that can be rolled out to those who need them most.

Our primary focus is on mobilizing and equipping communities to participate in research projects and influence public policy around the rollout of HIV prevention products.
